Silvertongue by Casey White

Book didn’t flow as well as it could have

Silvertongue is the first novel in Casey White’s Remnants of Magic series. It begins with a large battle scene, spanning nearly a hundred pages, and with a protagonist who is completely oblivious to what’s going on. As a result, I didn’t feel the story flowed as smoothly as I would have liked.

Book was a little too long

Silvertongue was a concept that was created by Cornelia Funke, who wanted a book about magical characters that were so small they were barely noticeable. Her goal was to create a book that was magical yet realistic, so readers could relate to the characters. But the book ended up being too long for the story to make sense.
